Background
Hisham Ali Bob is the founder and principal of Praxis Strategy Group. He advises public agencies, health systems, foundations and nonprofits on funding strategy, award administration and nonprofit finance. Hisham has served clients in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Texas and Washington.
He has more than a decade of experience in nonprofits, local government and consulting, including frontline education, program coordination and management in several organizations. His work connects grant budgets, expenditure tracking, invoicing, reporting and audit preparation.
His workforce development experience includes Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) proposals, program design, participant eligibility, performance reporting and budgets. His work also spans community health and reentry. Nancy Iriarte-Ali Bob, MSN, RN, PHN, a public health nurse and Clinical Nurse Leader, has a planned role reviewing health content and advising on family education and clinical workflow questions. Praxis provides no patient care or individual medical advice.
Where the finance experience comes from
Hisham brings at least five years of finance and bookkeeping experience, including statewide board finance committee service, bookkeeping for the OK Program of Oakland and fractional finance leadership for an Oakland family-services foundation. His work includes Form 990 review, chart of accounts and QuickBooks class design, program budgets, grant allowability and invoices built from actual spending. He runs payroll for Praxis in QuickBooks.
Hisham works with CharityEngine, Salesforce, Bloomerang and Donorbox for donor records, fundraising workflows and reporting. His finance systems experience includes QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct and Aplos, with Gusto for payroll and BILL for payables.
