Independence and ethics
Praxis sets out its scope and fees in writing before work begins. Platform recommendations follow the engagement’s needs rather than a vendor relationship.
Conflicts of interest
Before accepting an engagement, Hisham checks it against his other clients and professional commitments. Any potential conflict is discussed openly and resolved through the scope and role boundaries before work begins, and revisited if the work changes. Praxis does not offer preferential access to any government decision or to nonpublic information. Work that cannot be cleanly separated is declined. Decisions and approvals remain with your authorized representative.
Use of AI
AI may assist with research organization, early drafting, analysis or technical development. Hisham reviews deliverables and remains responsible for the work. Sources, figures and material claims are checked before delivery. Client restrictions govern which tools and information may be used; confidential information is not entered into an external AI service without an agreed basis and authorization.
Data handling
At the start of an engagement, Praxis and the client agree on the information needed, who may access it and the approved channels for sharing and storage. Do not send protected health information (PHI), account credentials, confidential records or any personal information beyond basic inquiry details through website forms. Retention and return or deletion of engagement files are addressed in the written scope and applicable requirements. Praxis does not claim Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification.
Quality review
Deliverables are principal-reviewed. The scope identifies outputs, review points, dependencies and the records handed back to the client.
Fees
Grant awards are never guaranteed.
Consistent with the Grant Professionals Association Code of Ethics and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Code of Ethical Standards, Praxis does not accept compensation based on a percentage of funds raised, commission, contingency fees or vendor referral fees.
